What is a HotSpot?
Places that are equipped with WLan are referred to as “HotSpots”. HotSpots are commonly made available at airports, hotels, trade fairs, in public spaces, on company premises, etc.
What is Wireless-LAN (WLan)?

How does WLan work?
A connection is established from a mobile end device, that is equipped with a WLan card (for example a notebook or PDA), to an access point. This links the device with the internet via the HotSpot.
